Srikanth Kidambi (born February 7, 1993 in Andhra Pradesh , completely Srikanth Nammalwar Kidambi ) is an Indian badminton player .

Career

Srikanth Kidambi was ninth in the men's singles at the 2011 Badminton Junior World Championships . He won nationally in 2011 in the men's doubles category. In the adult category, he won bronze in the men's singles in 2012. He finished third at the Macau Open 2012 as well as at the Bahrain International 2012 and India International 2012 . In the same year he won the Maldives International 2012 . In 2013 he won the Thailand Open .

In 2017 he won the Denmark Open and prevailed against South Korean Lee Hyun-il in the final .

His brother K. Nandagopal is also a badminton player.
