KADEX

The KADEX (Kazakhstan Defense EXPO) is a trade fair for defense technology in Kazakhstan (Russian Международная выставка вооружения и военно-технического имущест. English: International Exhibition of Military Technology for Equipment). This weapons exhibition takes place at the air force base of the Kazakh capital Nur-Sultan . The organizer is the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The fair takes place every two years and has so far been held in 2010 and 2012.

In addition to new weapon systems, military technology will be offered at the fair, as well as services for supply troops and medical services, IT technologies, construction and infrastructure.

The fair is divided into five sections:

  • Armament and military technology for land troops and navy
  • Aviation and Air Defense, Systems and Resources for Air Defense
  • Equipment for special use
  • Rear service and technical security of the troops

The aim of the fair is, among other things, the promotion of technology transfer in the field of weapons and special technology from abroad to Kazakhstan and the initiation of cooperation with relevant companies, as well as the market launch of military technology in Kazakhstan.

KADEX 2010

KADEX 2010 took place from May 26th to 29th. 200 exhibitors from 20 countries attended the fair. There were four papillions and an exhibition area of ​​15,000 m² under the open sky. Official delegations from 40 countries traveled to the fair.

KADEX 2012

KADEX 2012 took place from May 3rd to 6th. An international festival of military orchestras took place as part of KADEX 2012 .
