The KCC Corporation is a South Korean manufacturer of building materials based in Seoul .

history

The company was founded in 1958 as Keumkang Slate Ind. Co. and went public in 1973. After the building materials manufacturer had set up its own business division in the area of ​​construction work in 1965, the first foreign construction contract was accepted in 1977. In 2000, Keumkang merged with the Korea Chemical Company (KCC).

KCC was founded in 1974 and specialized in chemical products for use in the marine industry. Several of the company's paints and resins were first certified for use in shipbuilding by Lloyd’s in 1978 . KCC went public in 1985.

The merged company took the company Keumkang KCC Co., Ltd. on. This was eventually changed to KCC Corporation in 2005.

Products

The product range offered by KCC includes glass and complete windows, as well as floor coverings, paints and varnishes, adhesives, insulation made of mineral wool and plasterboard . These products are used in building fittings, electronic equipment, water and land vehicle construction and other industries.
