KParts is in software engineering is the name of a free components - frameworks . It has K Desktop Environment 2 part of the software platform of KDE . A single component is called a KPart . This allows the functionality of a program that is available as a KPart to be embedded in the surface of another program. For example, the console is available as a KPart and is used in programs like Konqueror and Kate . Another example with Konqueror is the use of the KWord-KPart to display documents embedded in a separate window. The KParts correspond roughly to the Bonobo components in GNOME .
