The Korea Exchange ( KRX ) is the South Korean stock exchange that was created from the merger of the Korea Stock Exchange , the Korea Futures Exchange and the KOSDAQ .

In August 2017, around 2,094 companies with a cumulative market capitalization of around $ 1.5 trillion were listed on the Korea Exchange. With over 250 million contracts traded each month, the Korea Exchange is one of the world's largest derivatives exchanges, alongside Eurex and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) . The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) is the index family of the Korean Stock Exchange.
