Concentration camp external command iron and smelting works AG
The Eisen- und Hüttenwerke AG concentration camp external command was a satellite camp of the Buchenwald concentration camp in Bochum . Its inmates were used to work for the iron and steel works AG as part of the Nazi forced labor in Bochum and Wattenscheid . From August 21, 1944, 400 predominantly Jewish concentration camp inmates were used for forced labor. At the beginning of November 1944 it was 652, when it was dissolved it was 622. The camp was dissolved on March 21, 1945. Today the situation has not yet been exactly reconstructed.
Another Buchenwald subcamp in Bochum was the external camp of the Bochum Association on Brüllstrasse .
