Cable connection
A cable connection is called the connection to a broadband cable network . The broadband cable network, usually consisting of coaxial cables or fiber optic cables , is used to transmit signals such as B. Cable television , Internet or telephone .
The cable network of cable television is divided into different network levels, whereby the cable connection denotes the transfer point from network level 3 to network level 4 ( house transfer point ).
The broadband cable network is operated by cable network operators . The Deutsche Bundespost originally set up the cable network in Germany. It was later expanded by Deutsche Telekom. Today there are several providers who operate the cable network and sell cable connections. The largest of the providers in Germany are Vodafone and Tele Columbus .
