Cad (unit)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The kad (also called okow ) was a Russian measure of volume for dry goods. The oldest mention goes back to the 12th century. Kad and the Osmina can be found in grain prices in Novgorod between 1137 and 1231. The last evidence of Okow related to prices is 1420, then the Cheet value (from 1469) becomes the grain size.
