Kadath is a German death metal or deathgrind band from Aachen .

history

The band was founded in 1992 under the name Catalepsy . After various demos and EPs, the band received a recording contract with the music label Teutonic Existence Records , on which the debut album was also released, on which the band had already crossed the border to death grind. The album was produced by Andy Classen , who had already worked as a producer for well-known music groups such as Holy Moses and Destruction .

The second album Chasing the Devil deals with the life and deeds of the serial killer Andrej Tschikatilo . It was published by the German music label Cudgel Agency . As a bonus, the album contains an excerpt from a concert that was recorded in Berlin.

The band broke up in mid-2005. The reunification took place at the end of 2006. The former drummer now plays in the band Punished Earth.
