Andy Classen (* 20th century ) is a German music producer and musician .

Career

He began his career in 1981 as the guitarist of the German thrash metal band Holy Moses , whose current front woman is his ex-wife Sabina Classen . To Classen's first productions under the label West Virginia Records included the albums When War Begins ... from the Thrashcore band Warpath and Mc Gillroy the housefly by the Psychedelic - death metal band Incubator. Andy Classen also influenced the German hardcore punk scene by producing bands like Ryker’s and Brightside. Classen remained guitarist with Holy Moses until 1994. After leaving, he became a full-time producer and sound engineer at Stage One Studio .

In 1997 Andy Classen founded together with Dirk Weiss from the thrash metal band Warpath the band Richthofen , which is assigned to the Neue Deutsche Hütze , with whom he recorded the debut album Seelenwalzer and then went on tour. Before the recording of the second album Helden der Zeit , he separated from Richthofen and concentrated again on his work as a producer.

Holy Moses were inactive until 2001 when the band was revived by Sabina Classen with Andy Classen as the occasional songwriter and producer. In 2005, Holy Moses recorded the album Strength Power Will Passion .
