Dew-Scented is a German thrash metal band founded in 1992 . Her name means "freshly scented" and is derived from a stanza of a poem by Edgar Allan Poe .

history

Singer Leif Jensen joined the band in 1992, drummer Uwe Werning in 1997 and guitarist Hendrik Bache in autumn 2001.

In the winter of 1992/1993, the north German band released their first demo Symbolization , which became very well known in the underground scene and also helped them to get their record deal with SPV / Steamhammer.

In the spring of 1996, Immortelle , the band's debut album, was released. They proved to be a fast, aggressive live band on tour with Edge of Sanity , Lake of Tears and Sadist . Due to the increased band activity, there were some changes in the line-up. Nevertheless, they did not let that bother them and brought their second album Innoscent onto the market in 1998 on the Grind Syndicate Media / NBR label . In the same year they played for the first time at the Wacken Open Air .

The summer of 1999 was the release date for Ill-Natured , a mixture of death and thrash metal. Two years later, in the summer of 2001, Dew-Scented recorded with Andy Classen Inwards and played at various festivals a. a. with the German thrash metal legends Kreator , Sodom and Destruction . For the first time she toured in the United States of America.

Issue VI , the sixth album was released in June 2005. In March 2007 the new album Incinerate was released in Europe and in April in North America. After the album was released, guitarist Müller left the band and later switched to Miocene .

In March 2017, the band announced that Marc Dzierzon would become the band's new drummer.

In May 2018 the band announced their breakup. This should take place after the farewell concerts in October of the same year.
