history

Volker Rahn ( guitar ) and Markus Breuer ( electric bass ) already had several years of band experience when they were founded, as they had already played together in the Alsdorf band Graysten . In 1998, Tom Freyer ( drums ), Peter Povse (guitar) and Andy Thelen ( vocals ) finally joined the line-up.

In 2000 the band independently released the mini CD Ascend , which was well received by the underground scene. In 2001 the band toured with the Japanese Chaos Corelers "Terror Squad" across Germany and nearby countries, where the singer Andy Thelen, who had already left, was replaced by session singer Christoph Fritz. Christoph Fritz also sang the 2002 Internet EP Agression [sic]. A short time later, founding member Peter Povse left the band. In the summer of 2002, Achim Sankul (guitar), an old companion from Graysten times, and Guido Grawe (vocals) joined the band.

In 2004 the first real longplayer Sick of being Human was released (Europe: MDD Records / Asia: World Chaos Prod.). The “Metal Underground Madness Tour Part II” took the band with the Japanese Thrashers King's Evil and the Aachen grinder Cause of Divorce Autumn 2004 across Europe.

In 2006 the next album Pure Motorized Instinct ( Remedy Records / Soulfood ) was released. In November of the same year Achim Sandkuhl left the band for family reasons and was replaced by Malte Höltken. Scornage then completed another tour with the Japanese band Terror Squad , again across Germany and nearby countries.

In March 2008 Malte Höltken left the band to devote more time to his second band and Tom Bronneberg occupied the second guitar from now on.

Scornage is also the initiator of the "Mosh it up" festival, which takes place annually in the music bunker in Aachen.

The album Born to Murder the World was released on March 20, 2009. In addition, the band released the DVD Decade of Scorn at the end of 2008 , which contains both the anniversary appearance from April 2008 and unreleased backstage material.

The current album Refearance ( Massacre Records / Soulfood ) was released on August 24, 2012.
