Remedy Records is a German metal and punk label that was founded in 1989. Rude Records was also founded as a sub-label for rock releases .
history
The label was originally founded in 1989 as a record store in Hamburg-Stellingen by Jörn Rüter. To mark the opening of the store, an exclusive single from Torment , the band Rüters, was distributed, which means that the store was indirectly acting as a label. The first real release took place in 1999 after Dark Age , a band friend, could not find a suitable label for the release of their debut album The Fall . Since Rüter at Torment was also not satisfied with the collaboration with the Steamhammer label , the Torment sound carrier was also released on his label. As a result, other Hamburg bands such as Stormwarrior and Minotaur were signed. Later also appeared the release of his second band Kneipenterroristen on the label. In addition, the sub-label Rude Records was founded, for rock releases, while Remedy Records is responsible for the metal area. Bar terrorist albums have sales of around 10,000 pieces.
