Massacre Records is a German music label with headquarters in Abstatt .
The label was founded in 1991 by Torsten Hartmann. The focus is on bands of the harder varieties of metal . The distribution and music wholesaler Metal Merchant, the sub-label Blue Rose for the singer-songwriter and Americana genre and the music publisher Sylvian Music are connected to Massacre . In 2012, Collectors Dream Records was launched, a third label dedicated to the re-release of recordings by well-known artists. Massacre Records also sells albums on the MCM label.
From 1995 to 2000 Massacre ran Swanlake Records, a sub-label for Gothic Metal and Folk Metal . The best known artists publishing on Swanlake were Skyclad , Atrocity , Theater of Tragedy and Liv Kristine .
