Mystic Prophecy is a German power metal band from Bad Grönenbach . Elements of American Power Metal as well as classic Heavy and Thrash Metal can be recognized in their songs .
history
The band was founded in 2000 by singer Roberto D. Liapakis ( Valley's Eve ) together with Martin Albrecht (Valley's Eve, Stormwitch , Rough ). Shortly thereafter, drummer Dennis Ekdahl and guitarist Gus G. ( Ozzy Osbourne , Firewind ) joined them, who recorded the first three albums with Mystic Prophecy. After that there were numerous changes in the line-up. Guitarist Markus Pohl joined them in 2005 and is still the oldest member of the band with RD Liapakis. Today's line-up still consists of bassist Joey Roxx and drummer Hanno Kerstan. In August 2017, Evan K was announced as the band's new lead guitarist.
Mystic Prophecy have released ten studio albums since 2001. Her ninth album War Brigade , which was released on Massacre Records in 2016 , includes some of her best known songs like "Metal Brigade", "The Crucifix", "War Panzer" and "Burning Out". In January 2018 the band released their tenth LP with cover versions of songs like "Shadow on the Wall" ( Mike Oldfield ), " You Keep Me Hangin 'On " ( The Supremes ), "Because the Night" ( Patti Smith ) and Hot Stuff "( Donna Summer ) released.
In January 2020 Mystic Prophecy released their eleventh album "Metal Division" which should be their most successful so far. The album reached number 20 in the German charts. A tour followed the release of the album.
