Circle of Silence is a German power metal band from Heilbronn , which was founded in 2006.
history
2006–2009: Demos Your Own Story / The Supremacy of Time
The band Circle of Silence was formed in 2006. At the end of 2006 the first demo CD Your Own Story was released as an in-house production. The demo CD is now sold out and can no longer be obtained from the band.
From November 2007 to February 2008 the second demo CD The Supremacy of Time was recorded, which was also released in March 2008 as an in-house production.
Through constant live presence and concerts with bands such as Powerwolf , Fear My Thoughts or Miseration , Circle Of Silence was able to establish itself as a constant in the regional metal scene .
2010: The Blackened Halo
In May / June 2010 the third CD The Blackened Halo was recorded together with producer Vagelis Maranis in the Maranis Studios in Backnang . After the production ended, Circle of Silence started looking for a record company. In early 2011, the band signed a worldwide record deal with the Massacre Records label .
The artwork of the CD comes from the Canadian artist Vitaly s. Alexius. The current band logo was created by the Finnish artist Janne "ToxicAngel" Pitkänen. The album contains 11 tracks with a total playing time of approx. 48 minutes and was released worldwide on April 29, 2011 via Massacre Records.
On June 28, 2011, a music video was released for the song Synthetic Sleep .
2013: The Rise Of Resistance
The follow-up album to "The Blackened Halo" was, like its predecessor, also recorded in collaboration with producer Vagelis Maranis at Maranis Studios between December 2012 and February 2013. The artwork for the album, entitled "The Rise Of Resistance", was created by Francisco Garcés (Dibujante nocturno).
On May 24, 2013 the album, with a total playing time of approx. 50 minutes and 12 songs, was released worldwide via Massacre Records .
style
The style of Circle of Silence can be described as a mixture of power, thrash and heavy metal . The band is stylistically more in the area of US Power Metal . On the first demo CD Your Own Story , influences from the field of Melodic Death Metal could still be found in the songs. However, these influences were put down on the second demo CD The Supremacy of Time and the band focused more on heavy / power metal.
