Doomshine is a southern German epic doom band.

Music genre

They say they play Melodic Doomed Metal . This self-created style of music should describe the music of the quartet: Their music is usually compared to bands such as Solitude Aeturnus or Candlemass .

Band history

The current members of the band have known each other since 1990, but they have only been making music together since 2000. Markus Schlaps and siblings Timmy and Sascha Holz have already written songs that Sven Podgurski revised. After the first concert, they wrote new songs in the months that followed. Sascha left the band and his brother Timmy took over the vocals. In 2001 the band changed their name to Doomshine. In 2002 the first gig under a new name followed (in the Rockfabrik Ludwigsburg ). The first songs were made available for download on the homepage.

After they put it on the sampler of Heavy magazine or what ?! they opened the Doom Shall Rise Festival in 2003 , at which Reverend Bizarre also played. In June 2003 they signed a contract with Iron Glory Records and released the 7 "single Shining in Solitude . In 2004 their debut album Thy Kingdoom Come was released there , which reached number 5 on the hard rock charts. In 2005 Doomshine signed one Record deal with Massacre Records . Almost exactly 6 years to the day after their first album, their second album The Piper at the Gates of Doom was released on July 2nd, 2010 .
