Blue rose

Blue Rose is a German record label that specializes in alternative country and roots rock . The label operated by Edgar Heckmann belongs to the Massacre Records Gesellschaft für Musikmarketing mbH in Abstatt . The label primarily represents American musicians in Germany and / or Europe. By early 2012, many CDs came out in association with the New West Records label from Austin , Texas . Among other things, Blue Rose distributes the Austin City Limits series on CD and DVD.

One of the first published albums after its founding in 1995 was the self-titled debut album by the Continental Drifters .

In 2004 the label released a tribute album in honor of Steve Wynn , entitled From a Man of Mysteries: A Steve Wynn Tribute . With the entry of the album The Sermon On Exposition Boulevard by Rickie Lee Jones at number 70, the label's first chart success was celebrated in April 2007.

The only German artist who is under contract with the label is Markus Rill . With Hank Shizzoe , a Swiss also publishes about Blue Rose.
