The Drive-By Truckers are a rock / alternative country / cowpunk band from Athens, Georgia .
Career
It was founded in 1996 by Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley. In the USA she is known for numerous live performances. The band played in Germany for the first time in 2003, including in Heilbronn, Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne. Her album Brighter Than Creation's Dark , released in 2008, received a four-star review from the American music magazine Rolling Stone .
From 2001 to 2007 Jason Isbell was a member of the Drive-By Truckers. Also Spooner Oldham belonged temporarily to the band.
