Chris Cacavas , (born May 5, 1961 in Tucson , Arizona ) is an American alternative singer and songwriter .

biography

Chris Cacavas was born in Tucson, USA. Together with Dan Stuart , he moved to Los Angeles in 1980 and founded the legendary band Green on Red . After their split in 1988 he began recording his debut album Chris Cacavas and Junkyard Love , which was released in 1989. After several solo albums, he moved to Germany in 2002, where he recorded the album Self Taut in March 2004 , which was released on the German label Blue Rose . On a subsequent tour in 2004, the CD Live at the Laboratorium was recorded in Stuttgart , which was released in 2005 by Blue Rose. As a bonus, the album included a DVD with 8 additional songs.

During his musical term, Chris Cacavas worked with numerous musicians such as Steve Wynn , Calexico , Giant Sand , Jason Molina and many more. together.

In 2005 he performed with the reformed band Green on Red for several shows in Tucson and London, among others.

In 2008 he recorded his new album Love's Been Discontinued, which was released in September 2009 on Blue Rose . Chris Cacavas lives with his German wife and son Dylan in Karlsbad near Karlsruhe.
