The Auelsbach is a 7.4 km long, orographically left tributary of the Agger in Lohmar in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
geography
The Auelsbach rises in the southeast of Lohmar, southeast of Birk . From there the Auelsbach flows meandering through the northern section of Heide and crosses under the district road K 13. From Heide the Auelsbach flows to Albach and makes a northward curve. To the north-west of Albach, two nameless tributaries flow to the right. The Auelsbach then flows past Krölenbroich . Flowing towards the northwest, the Pferdsbach flows towards the Auelsbach as an orographic right tributary. After a large meander curve, the Auelsbach flows past Lohmarhohn in the direction of Lohmar-Ort. There is a large flood retention basin in the Lohmar Forest . After the flood retention basin, the Auelsbach flows more and more in a straight line to Lohmar, in the residential area it has been severely straightened and in places flows underground. South of Lohmar Castle , the Auelsbach finally flows into the Agger.
