Ryker’s is a hardcore band from Kassel , which was founded in 1992 and split up for the first time in 2000, but briefly reunited in 2008 and made a comeback in 2013 with concerts and in 2014 with a new studio album. The band is one of the most successful European hardcore bands of the 1990s. They were significantly influenced by bands like the Cro-Mags and Agnostic Front .

Band history

In 2003 the band gave a one-off concert at the With Full Force for the 10th anniversary of the festival. In 2008 there was a reunification and some festival concerts were played and an associated reunion tour was announced, but this was canceled due to a stroke of fate. In December 2012 the band announced their reunion for 2013. The first concerts took place in Athens and Lisbon in the spring . Another concert then followed at the With Full Force Festival.

In January 2014 the band announced during their appearance on the EMP Persistence Tour in Oberhausen that a new album would be released in the course of the year. There were also concerts at MyFest in Berlin , in Vienna , at the Monster Bash Festival in Munich , at the New Noise Festival in Karlsruhe , at the Dour Festival , at the Resurrection Fest , at the Endless Summer Open Air and in Villmar , Goldenstedt , Gütersloh , her hometown Kassel and in 2014 in front of 13,000 fans near the Indonesian capital Jakarta .

The band's comeback album was titled Hard to the Core , contained eight new songs and was released in May 2014 via BDHW Records . It was recorded in January 2014 by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio . A music video for the song Hard to the Core has been released. A music video for The World As I See It Today followed in January 2015 and the band was part of the EMP Persistence Tour, which led through Germany, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Belgium. For autumn 2015 the Ryker's announced the new album Never Meant To Last , which was recorded for the first time not with founding member Kid-D., But with Dennis alias Sergeant D. from Brightside and with guest singers. With Kid-D. they parted on good terms, but he had "no longer been in the mood and had no more time" for a new album, as it became clear in preparation for the recordings. In September 2015, the first video High Five In Your Face With A Chair from the new album was released. This was followed by a music video for The Outcast's Voice after the album was released in October .

In May 2017 the band announced that with Steve Römhild from the band Erosion a new guitarist was joining, replacing Grobi, who no longer plays with the Ryker's. A new album was also announced for early 2018. In 2018 the band played for the 25th anniversary of the Akku Immenhausen .
