Kaffe Fassett
Kaffe Fassett (* 1937 in San Francisco , California ) is an American designer , mosaic and textile artist and author who has published numerous specialist books , particularly on the creation of quilts .
Life
Fassett grew up in Big Sur , where life later influenced him greatly in his art, although his artistic career began in Great Britain . Originally a painter , he learned to knit after settling in the UK in 1964.
He published his colorful, highly individual designs and samples of many of his ideas in numerous books such as Glorious Knitting (1985), Glorious Needlepoint (1987), Glorious Inspirations (1991) and Glorious Interiors (1995), which were also published in German translation .
