Kafka Society of America
The Kafka Society of America is a scientific society devoted to research into the work and circumstances of Franz Kafka as well as the bibliography of Kafka-related primary and secondary literature. It was founded in 1975 by Maria Luise Caputo-Mayr in San Francisco and has been based in New York City since 2001 .
Since 1975, the Society has organized annual meetings with the Modern Language Association (MLA) covering the entire spectrum of Kafka research. These are not only a forum for well-known specialists, but were also especially intended as a podium for young scientists.
