Otto Lauer

Otto Lauer (born September 12, 1908 in Pforzheim ; † March 29, 1971 there ) was a German politician ( CDU , later SPD ).

Lauer was in the war during the Second World War and was a prisoner of war . In his hometown of Pforzheim he worked as a businessman. For some time he was district chairman of the CDU. From 1947 to 1968 he was a member of the Pforzheim city council, initially for the CDU, after being expelled from the party for the SPD. In 1950 he was elected to the second and last state parliament of Württemberg-Baden , after the state merger he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg from 1952 to 1968 as a directly elected member of the Pforzheim constituency .

Lauer received the Great Cross of Merit in February 1967 . He is buried in the Brötzingen cemetery.
