Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform operated by the company of the same name. It was launched in Norway in August 2013 and is now used by 49 million people worldwide.

Use

Kahoot! is used by teachers used to students to motivate the teaching material to learn. It creates a playful competition among fellow players.

The use of Kahoot! is free, but a paid premium version has been available since 2019. Only the moderator (teacher) has to register on the site. Each time the game is played, the moderator receives an access pin that he makes available to his fellow players.

You can create your own games with relatively little effort. These games can be stored privately or publicly in the cloud .

Gameplay

The game is based on the cooperation of several devices that are connected via the Internet and together form a game.

The display view of the moderator (teacher) must be made visible to all players. It shows the question and the possible answers, depending on the requirements, two, three or four color-coded fields with geometric symbols. One or more of these answers can be correct. The moderator's view also shows the remaining time in which a response can be submitted. This response time can be set variably when creating the questions.

The display views of the other players show four fields with the colors and symbols of the given answers. To select an answer, click on the corresponding color.

For a correct answer, each player receives up to 1,000 points, depending on the required response time. If the answer series is correct, this number of points increases. Between each question, a ranking of the top five players is displayed on the lead device.

music

The game has a total of 34 soundtracks , many of which are remixes . On certain days of the year the music in the lobby is changed.

Others

Kahoot! is worth $ 300 million as of October 2018.

There is a mode called Blind Kahoot. In this game mode, users will not see any questions, instead questions will be asked by the person running the game.

Kahoot! Servers are accessible to everyone, so Kahoot! Servers can be easily hacked. There are several websites that specialize in this.
