Kai Karsten (moderator)

Kai Karsten (born January 26, 1968 ) is a German radio presenter.

Career

After an internship at the Munich station Radio M1 Munich and an internship at Radio Merkur , he started his career as an editor and presenter at the latter station. In 1990 he switched to the broadcaster RTL Baden-Württemberg and then finally came to SWF3 in 1995 , where he appeared as the presenter of the SWF3 Popfit program , but was mainly employed as a comedy writer and producer.

Since the merger of SDR and SWF to form SWR in 1998, he has worked as a moderator and editor for SWF3's successor, SWR3 . There he could be heard on the program SWR3 Club , and then from 2000 onwards he worked as a foreign correspondent in Hollywood for five years and moderated the program SWR3bis12 .

From September 2006 to June 2012 he presented the Kai Karsten Show , which was initially broadcast on Saturdays and Sundays. The format later replaced the Hithop program and was broadcast on weekdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. On weekends moderated Karsten alternating with other presenters 13-16 indicator The weekend show . SWR3 Pop-Up has been broadcast on weekdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. since June 2012 . Karsten therefore moderated the Top 3 Show on Sundays between 7 p.m. and midnight until February 2015 and the SWR3 afternoon program on Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., which is often unofficially referred to as the follow-up to the discontinued Kai Karsten Show . Since December 2015 he has hosted SWR3 Luna on ARD Popnacht from midnight to 5 a.m.

He currently moderates Club Pop and Go on Sundays between 7pm and midnight .
