Kaiama (Bayelsa)

Kaiama is a small town in the Kolokuma-Opokuma Local Government Area in the Bayelsa state of Nigeria on the Nun River .
On December 11, 1998 , Ijaw youth from over five hundred parishes and forty clans , representing twenty-five organizations, met in Kaiama . They published the Kaiama Declaration and founded the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC).
