Kajiado is the capital of Kajiado County in Kenya . The city is 80 km south of Nairobi , along the Nairobi - Arusha motorway (A104). Kajiado has a population of 24,678 (2019 census). The inhabitants of Kajiado are predominantly Maasai .

Infrastructure

Kajiado has a train station on the Magadi Soda Railway line, which runs from Konza (on the Nairobi-Mombasa route) to Magadi . However, this line has limited passenger services and the most common way to travel from Nairobi to Kajiado is by bus.
