Kalahari Holdings is a Windhoek- based Namibian holding company . It is wholly owned by SWAPO, which has ruled since independence in 1990 . According to its own statements, the company employs 3300 people, making it one of the largest corporate groups in the country. The ownership structure has led to numerous disagreements in the past, as there are fears that the state would give preference to the company. The company is (as of 2015) as financially strong.
