The Kalapalo , in Portuguese Calapalos , are an indigenous tribe who live in the Central Brazilian region of Alto Xingu in the Parque Indígena do Xingu in Mato Grosso in the Brazilian part of the Amazon basin .

The Kalapalo language is one of the Caribbean languages .

The population was given in 2011 (IPEAX) with 385 indigenous people, in 2014 with 669 (Siasi / Sesai), who live in eight forest villages (aldeias) on the Rio Kuluene .
