Yudjá

The Yudjá (also Juruna) are an indigenous Indian tribe who live in the central Brazilian region of Alto Xingu in the Brazilian part of the Amazon basin , in the Parque Indígena do Xingu , in Mato Grosso .

The Yudja language (autonym) belongs to the Juruna branch of the Tupí languages . Spelling variants of the xenonym are Yuruna, Jurúna, Juruûna, Juruhuna, Geruna. Juruna means "black mouth".
