history

The first documentary mention of a Kalbeck farm comes from the year 1326. The farm and Kalbeck Castle developed from the farm and became the seat of a small, independent lordship . Since the 19th century Kalbeck formed a rural community in the mayor's office of Weeze in the district of Geldern in the administrative district of Düsseldorf . On October 1, 1928, Kalbeck was incorporated into Weeze.
