Lime kiln Timmerberg (2012)

The Timmerberg lime kiln was a lime kiln in Nammen , a current district of Porta Westfalica in the Minden-Lübbecke district . It was in operation until the mid-1960s. Its construction was applied for in 1894 and approved by the Minden district committee against the opposition of several citizens . The lime kiln was later expanded to include a lime store, a garage and an extension for a diesel engine. The lime kiln was built from broken limestone , the later additions from brickwork .

At the end of 2013 the lime kiln was demolished because its internal structure was rusted through and there was no more money to restore it.
