Cold gas efficiency

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The cold gas efficiency is defined as the ratio between the energy content of the product gas after gasification and the energy content of the energy source before gasification in its raw state (e.g. calorific value of wood). It is specially defined for the gasification process. The product gas flow must be temperature-adjusted, which means that it is purely chemical energy content.

Here is the lower heating value and the mass flow. The index G stands for the product gas and the index F for the solid fuel.
