Building

The small rectangular building with a simple facade has curved gables on both sides. The stone slab roof is crowned by an easterly ridge turret with an onion helmet. On the west side, under a wooden canopy, there is an altar with a crucifixion group from 1729 from the workshop of Johann Pacher . The baroque sculpture group was acquired by the Dominican Convent in Friesach about thirty years ago after the original crucifixion group fell victim to thieves. The church interior is a windowless hall with a barrel vault that can be entered through iron doors on the north and south sides. A groin-vaulted sacristy adjoins it in the east. In 1990/91 the original baroque wall painting with brick decoration and figures of saints was exposed.

Facility

The figures of Peter and Paul stand on a simple, free-standing tabernacle altar. Behind it on the east wall hangs a popular miraculous image, above it a mercy seat sculpture . Like statues of the princes of the apostles, this was created by Johann Pacher in 1756. The interior also includes a Black Madonna, a positive organ from the beginning of the 18th century, as well as paintings from the second half of the 17th century depicting Maria Immaculata and Maria Himmelfahrt .

Way of the Cross

There is only a baroque Stations of the Cross chapel west of the church. In it stands a life-size figure of the Man of Sorrows, carved by Johann Pacher in 1740/50 . The new way of the cross, erected in 1972, is decorated with bronze reliefs by Toni Rücker.
