Kamal Ismaun

Mohammad Kamal bin Ismaun (* around 1948 ) is a Malaysian diplomat .

Life

He graduated from Malaya University with a bachelor's degree in 1975 . Ismaun joined the Malaysian diplomatic service and served in the country's foreign ministry. From 1986 to 1990 he worked as an advisor to the Malaysian Ambassador to Japan . Between 1994 and 1996 he was Malaysia's chargé d'affaires in Zagreb for Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina . In 1996 he became the Malaysian ambassador to Cambodia . From 1999 he was Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was responsible for the areas of Southeast Asia and the Pacific. In 2001 he became Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for ASEANuntil he was sent to Germany as ambassador in July 2003 . He held the role of ambassador until July 2007.

On August 7, 2007, he became a non-executive director at ÆON Credi .
