Kamativi

Kamativi is a 940 m high village with 1600 inhabitants (2006) in the province of Matabeleland North in Zimbabwe . There it is 40 km northeast of Dete on the road to Binga .

In Kamativi there is a tin mine , the deposits of which are the largest in the country and also in Africa and have a SnO 2 content ( cassiterite ) of 70%. However, as the Zimbabwe Standard reported on May 21, 2006, funding has collapsed during the political turmoil.

There is a hospital in Kamativi. Military is stationed in the village . There are four so-called youth training camps for the militia and thug troops of the ZANU-PF, who have so far decided to vote .
