Kamea

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A (e) kamea is a magical square associated with a particular planet and used for drawing sigils . Kameas can usually be found on a talisman or amulet . The Kameas in use today go back to the illustrations from the work De Occulta Philosophia by Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa von Nettesheim .

The peculiarity of Kameas compared to conventional magic squares can be seen in the fact that when all cells are connected in numerical order, a symmetrical pattern is created, as can be seen in the following figures. So far, no magic square with a symmetrical pattern is known for the kamea of the sun. The kamea used by Agrippa is therefore shown here.
