Kameleoni

The Kameleoni ( Slovenian for chameleons ) were one of the first Yugoslav beat bands . It was founded in Koper in 1965 .

In 1968 they had a hit with "Sjaj izgubljene ljubavi" (The shine of past love). The band played in 1968 in Boštjan Hladnik's film "Sončni Krik". Although the band came from Koper (Slovenia), the lyrics of their songs were mostly English, Serbo-Croatian and Italian. In addition to the original compositions (including Gdje Si Ljubavi ) there were also some cover versions, including Girl (by The Beatles ), Con le mie lacrime (Italian version of As tears go by by The Rolling Stones ).

The Kameleoni's records appeared on the Diskos and Jugoton labels . The group split into two separate bands in 1968.
