Camera office

The Kameralamt (from Latin cameralis also Cameralamt) was responsible for the processes and objects of cameralistics , i.e. H. responsible for the princely chamber or financial administration. It was the forerunner of today's tax office . In Wuerttemberg it was the lower state financial authority that, in place of the former wineries and clerical administrations, formed one of the so-called special funds from 1807 .

The head of a camera office was called "Keller" in Württemberg.
