Chamber Council

As a Councilor was in feudalism a member of a royal court chamber , in particular one of the leading members referred to this financial and property management authority. A district councilor was a councilor who was responsible for a district .

Some professional bodies still refer to members of their governing body as chamber councilors, for example the Austrian chambers of agriculture or the Austrian chambers of labor .

The chamber councils of the Austrian chambers of labor are mostly works councils, staff representatives and trade unionists. They are indirectly elected by the employees every 5 years to the general assembly of the respective regional chambers. The chamber councils conduct the discourse on current affairs of representing the interests of the employed and determine the procedure of the chamber of labor.
