The combat suit is the uniform intended for use in the military . It should protect the wearer and optimally support them in their task. The protective function relates to environmental and environmental influences (protection from cold, moisture protection, flame protection, etc.) as well as protection against detection (camouflage) and, in some cases , protection against the effects of combat ( small arms projectiles , shrapnel).

The combat suit is usually adapted depending on the task, season and area of ​​use. The combat suit is also worn during the corresponding training.
