Channel folding machine

Rectangular air ducts with seam connections

The Kanalfalzmaschine reduced in producing a folded seam connection to a ventilation duct the usual three operations to a single pass of the sheet through the machine. While fold formers first fold the first sheet, then attach the fold to the second sheet and finally connect and close the two folds, the duct hemming machine does all three work steps in a single pass.

The channel seaming machine also uses a special seam connection: the channel seam . It is denser than the Pittsburgh seam and snap seam connections that are very common in air duct manufacture.
