Kansas City Shuffle is a song by jazz pianist Bennie Moten .

history

The song was recorded in Chicago in 1926 . The piece lasts about 3 minutes and was played by the Kansas City Orchestra in shuffler rhythm . The song was covered in 2006 by Joshua Ralph as the soundtrack for the film Lucky Number Slevin .

Use in film

In Lucky Number Slevin is with City Shuffle Kansas a diversion described which, according to Mr. Goodkat ( Bruce Willis works) because (in the original English "all the world looks to the right as you go linksrum.": "When everybody looks right, you go left. ” ) The Kansas City Shuffle is used to get close to two well-guarded Mafia bosses, as the main character Slevin Kelevra ( Josh Hartnett ) is brought into play as a decoy by Mr. Goodkat under a false name. At the end of the film, the viewer learns that the name of the distraction came from the song that was playing decades earlier when the car radio was switched on.
