Square (ruler)

Square

A square is a short ruler with a maximum edge length of 15 centimeters.

Rulers of this kind are used by geodesists , which also coined the term, for work in the field, primarily for the preparation of cracks and field comparisons .

On some models, openings are provided as a template for quickly drawing symbols and map signs.

When working “in the field”, it is important to have handy and practical tools that can be stored in pockets in the clothing and that pose a low risk of injury in the event of a fall .
