The Kantonalbank building is a monumental building on the Bundesplatz in Bern .

It was built from 1867 as a society house museum by the architect Johann Caspar Wolff and opened on April 21, 1869 with a gala concert by the music society. Until 1903 the ground floor served as a reading circle and the hall on the first floor as a concert hall, in which lectures, parties and balls were also held. Then the building was converted into the main building of the Berner Kantonalbank by 1906 .

The facade was provided with a series of larger-than-life attic statues by Robert Dorer in 1871 , which were replaced by copies in 1924 and depict the following Bernese personalities:
