Canoe Sports Club Bayer Uerdingen
The canoe sports club Bayer 1951 e. V. Uerdingen was a canoe club in Krefeld . It was founded in 1951 and was one of the largest canoe clubs in town with around 300 members. In 2013 the club joined SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen as a canoeing department.
The association concentrated on canoeing , canoeing slalom, and, finally, canoeing, white water sports .
Slalom sport
The club was one of the leading clubs in North Rhine-Westphalia in the Olympic sport of canoe slalom and had already produced several German champions in the youth classes, as well as two title holders in the performance class. The greatest success was the German championship title in the single canoe for Manfred Hess in 1969.
Youth work
The association had a very active youth work, during which youth tours were regularly undertaken to various paddling destinations.
