KAON
KAON ( Ka rlsruhe on ontology) is a software that the infrastructure for processing ontologies provides. It was developed by the University of Karlsruhe and the Research Center for Computer Science in Karlsruhe . The first version was released in 2002 and supports an extended version of RDF -specified ontologies. Various programs such as the graphic ontology editor OIModeler or the KAON server are based on KAON.
In 2005 the first version of KAON2 was published, in which efficient reasoning is possible with ontologies encoded in OWL .
