Cape Bennett is a massive headland on the north coast of Coronation Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands .
It was discovered in December 1821 by the British sealer captain George Powell (1794-1824) with the Sloop Dove and his American counterpart Nathaniel Palmer with the Sloop James Monroe . Powell named it after his employer Daniel Bennett.
